2 Ways To Put Your Socks On

Dec 22, 2022

John Wooden (renowned basketball coach) took time during team practices to teach his players how to properly put on their socks and shoes. Why?

Because socks not worn correctly meant blisters.
Blisters meant missing practice.
Blisters meant sitting the bench.
Blisters meant not playing with a winning team.

There are two ways to do things:

  • Simple way
  • Hard way
  • Hardest way

The reality is, we often think we can take the simple way, the more comfortable way, or the shortcut.

But what we're really taking is the scenic route to the hardest way. Which means blisters.

John is also famous for saying, "If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?"

Where does your business need to commit to doing it the hard way?
